He is so cute. The 10 bucks I spent on this Halloween costume was well worth it.
Have I said how cute our little boy is?

And this is his beloved Bat Hat! This was my favorite part about his whole Halloween getup!

Dave and I want to say how proud we are of Carson! He is such a happy baby. He is so curious about life that he pushes as long as he can to stay awake so he can learn and see everything! I guess that is nice when you want to put him down for naps and to bed at night. Today though, Dave and I are especially proud of him. Maybe proud is a vain word, but I guess when you are a parent "proud" is a good word for it. After 11 weeks of impatient waiting, Dave and I heard Carson laugh out loud for the first time. We have actually heard him laugh, but in his sleep. The other night about 11:30 we put him to bed. Dave and I slowly crept into bed, crossing our fingers he wouldn't wake from our stupid, squeaky bed. A few minutes later, he started laughing in his crib while he was sleeping. Dave being Dave said, "Duh, he's not laughing." We started to laugh at his sarcasim. Last night while my parents were watching Carson, they started to munch on his tummy. He loved it so much that he started to laugh, but of coarse Dave and I weren't there to hear it. Dave did the same thing today, as you can see in the photo, and Carson started laughing. It was the longest laugh I've heard him make so far. I made him laugh on the way coming home from Costco as well, making silly baby noises that all parents are gulity of making after they have children. When I would watch my baby videos, I sat there and promised myself I would never alter my voice or make baby noises like my parents did, but that is inevitable. Dave and I are so excited to hear something so cute coming from Carson!

I just wanted to test the blogspot's video features by using this cute clip of Aunt Gina playing with Carson. She was lifting him up and down and he was smiling and enjoying himself. As she sat him down, he was still smiling, but when she brought him back up, he had a HUGE frown on his face. We laughed for a minute about how cute it was and so I ran and grabbed my camera hoping he would do the same thing again. I got a couple of pictures before I started to film, but the first one I got him frowning, but it wasn't a good face shot. That is where the second picture came from. Poor thing! He calmed down a little, and so I started to film hoping he would frown before he started another tizzy fit, but it was too late! I know that was his way of saying, "mom I'm tired." I swear at the end of this video, he does call out for his moma!! I will just pretend he did. :)

The thing about babies is you can't say you don't treat them a little like dolls sometimes. Well, when it comes to playing dress up I mean. Here is the picture of Aunt Gina's handiwork in the picture above. I chose the outfit, but she did his hair. I have to agree with Shiree and say he does look like a little "Who" from "Whoville". Aunt Gina says he needed some "mormon horns" until his real ones came in.
This picture of coarse is Daddy's handiwork. Dad can't wait to show everyone this Ute Fan to be and his future football game buddy.
This was my outfit! Totally boy! That day we were heading up to see his Great Grandma Arline so he had to look cute!
Okay, this was mine too! It was last Saturday when it was all cold and rainy! He needed a beany...and a matching shirt...and matching stripped pants...and matcing blue socks! Too cute!
This is Grandma and Grandpa's cute dinosaur thermal outfit they got from Target. They put him in whenever he comes to visit..or has no clothes left thanks to unexpected blow-outs and spit-ups.
About a week ago, when I stopped putting Carson in outfits that cover his hands, started to learn he actually has them!! It is so cute. One minute he'll be completely silent, and the next you'll hear endless sucking.
The other day I was driving to my mom and dad's house and I looked in my rear view mirror and into a mirror we have on the back of the seat so we can see him, and I could see Carson looking at these two things that kept coming back and out of view in front of his face. I knew then he was getting frustrated because I had him in an outfit with mittens. He wanted to suck on his hands, but yet, couldn't find them. All of the sudden I hear this quiet cry of frustration and his bottom lip went into his classic pout mode. I let out a little giggle and promised him once we got to Grandma's I would uncover his hands.
This little picture was too cute to leave out of the blog. I took it while taking some pictures of him sucking his hands. He is going to be a total thumb sucker!
