My Cute Yet Pointless Blog

I know that this may be the most pointless blog, but I love these pictures. It is funny how I get my favorite pictures of Carson after he has a bath. He always has the cutest faces and smiles during and after. Dave was telling me the other day how I should write about something other than Carson. Of coarse I asked him what else is there at this point in our lives. All I can say is that Dave is still at Usana and I am still at the hospital and I sadly return November 27. I will only work Tuesdays and Thursdays PRN (whenever needed). I love what I do, but it is more stressful than taking care of Carson. Dave thought it would be the other way around for me. Babies aren't easy, but demeaning surgeons aren't? I would much rather change a diaper than help assist in taking out an appendix or dead bowel! I am grateful though for my skills in that field. Being a mom is what I love to do most. I am more grateful for Carson!

It Only Looks Sweet and Innocent

Look at this toy. Doesn't it look so cute? So sweet? So innocent? Wouldn't any parent want their baby to play with it? It also plays this fun music that doesn't drive me or Dave absolutely insane. But who would know that this cute, sweet, innocent toy would have such an affect on Carson? Every time Dave or I put this toy in front of Carson's face and pull the string on top Carson frowns! It is the funniest thing! It's the only toy that we know of so far that does that to him. It does not matter if Carson is wide awake and happy or tired and grumpy, he will frown at it no matter what! Carson just keeps mom and dad smiling and laughing! We love to watch him grow and learn. It is so fun to learn a little bit more of his personality every day. We just hope he'll like the toy when he gets a little older!

Bath Time

These pictures are an answer for my sister-in-law Kirstin. The other day she asked me if Carson had curly hair. This picture says it all. When it is wet it is all curly. When dry, it's wavy. I know his mom has wavy hair if left unattended. I hope it's permanent! He is so cute. When his umbilical cord fell off, which was Aug. 24, we gave him a bath two days later and he HATED it! The second bath was also a horrible experience. Now, he enjoys it and it is so fun to see how clean he looks afterwards! He loves his bath time. Even when he is starting to get all fussy, he gets put in the bath and the fussiness disappears. He is so smily! He is such a happy baby! We love him very much!

My Little Pumpkin

Sorry everyone, I just picked the cutest pumpkin out of the pumpkin patch. Better luck next year! I have to brag about how cute he looks in his pumpkin outfit! I am so excited to show all of my friends and family how cute he'll look for Halloween. My sister Gina and my mom went with me to Babies R Us and found that outfit for 10 bucks! I think it's a good deal. When I sent Dave a picture of it over our phones he replied,"oh that is just so adorable." I guess it is adorable considering Dave added the word just in the sentence. Dave has been so cute with him. He is starting to use words like cute and adorable. Some words men just would not say until their kids come along. I am so happy to have Dave and Carson! They are so fun! We are having a lot of fun being a family so far!!

Our Sweet Addition

This is my first time posting a blog!! I just wanted to write about my baby boy Carson. I can't believe he is over a month old now! It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital holding him not believing that he was really mine. He is starting to get so chunky! He is getting some rolls on his legs and a double chin. I also found some new discoveries as well. He has a dimple or indent of some kind I found on his belly the other day, permanent or due to fat content, I don't know. He also has a birthmark on the back of his head and neck area, just like me, and did I mention he has my ears?? I love finding characteristics that he has gotten from him mom! It is so fun lying him on his tummy on my tummy and he will lift his head up to and look at me! We love to do exercises with his arms and legs to help him get strong. He makes mom and dad so happy! He is starting to react to mom and and smiles constantly...it may be gas bubbles, who knows? We hope all of you can come see him soon!
